Azerbaijan, Mangystau region of Kazakhstan discuss strengthening of economic ties

Azerbaijan’s Consulate General in Aktau Elmar Mammadov has met with akim of Mangystau region Nurlan Nogayev to discuss further strengthening of economic ties, investment opportunities and prospects for the development of interregional entrepreneurship.

According to the press service of the chief executive authority of Mangystau region, the foreign trade turnover amounted to $23.7 million in January-July 2021, which is 26.7 percent more than the same period last year .

In January-July this year, the export turnover from Mangystau region to Azerbaijan amounted to $ 19.8 million.

There are 212 enterprises with Azerbaijani capital registered in various sectors of the economy in Mangystau region. Today, Aktau and Baku have become large transport and logistics hubs, bringing together the aviation, rail, road and sea transport networks.

Following the event, the sides agreed to take an active part in the implementation of joint projects and seek new forms for the development of bilateral relations.
