“Karabakh is the cradle of Azerbaijani culture”: Bashikasik Dome

Bashikasik Dome

The Ministry of Culture of Azerbaijan has published an article about Bashikasik Dome as part of the “Karabakh is the cradle of Azerbaijani culture” project.

AZERTAC presents the article.

“The dome built in the 13th-14th centuries located in Daghtumas village of Jabrayil district was named Bashikasik Dome (Headless dome) due to its open ceiling.

Despite the restoration of the historical monument before the occupation, several parts of the walls of the dome were destroyed by the Armenian armed forces in 1993.”
