Azerbaijan Army holds series of events to mark International Children’s Day

According to the instruction of the Minister of Defense, a series of events on the occasion of June 1 – International Day for Protection of Children were held in military units and special educational institutions of the Azerbaijan Army, the Ministry of Defense told AZERTAC.

“At the events, a minute of silence was observed to honor the memory of Azerbaijan’s national leader Heydar Aliyev and Azerbaijani martyrs, who sacrificed their lives for the independence and territorial integrity of the country. The national anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was performed.

On the occasion of the holiday, the families of martyrs and war veterans were visited, children’s visits to military units and meetings with soldiers were organized, as well as a concert program was presented by the Army Ideological and Cultural Center named after Hazi Aslanov, the Ideological and Cultural Center of the Ganja Garrison and cultural houses of districts,” the ministry said.
