Azerbaijan exported 4.3 billion cubic meters of gas to Türkiye in January-June of this year, the Ministry of Energy told AZERTAC.
According to the ministry, 23.4 billion cubic meters of natural gas was produced in the country in 6 months of this year. 6.9 bcm of gas production extracted from ACG, while 12.6 bcm from Shah Deniz. SOCAR produced 3.9 bcm gas during this period. Gas was transported with an increase of approximately 3.1 bcm, namely 15.1 percent compared to the relevant period last year.
During this period, gas sales amounted to 11.2 bcm, which was 25.7% more compared to the same period previous year. In January-June of this year, 5.4 billion cubic meters of gas exported to Europe and 1.5 billion cubic meters to Georgia. During this period, the BTC pipeline system was supplied with 55 million cubic meters of gas, while nearly 2.9 bcm gas was exported to Türkiye through the Trans Anatolian Natural Gas Pipeline Project
