Azerbaijan, Portugal discuss bilateral relations

Azerbaijani Ambassador to Russia Polad Bulbuloghlu has met with newly appointed Ambassador of Portugal to Russia Madalena Fischer.

Polad Bulbuloghlu congratulated the ambassador on her appointment and wished her success.

Highlighting Azerbaijan-Portugal relations, he noted that there are wide opportunities for the development of the bilateral ties, especially in the fields of tourism, culture and education. The ambassador stressed the need to take appropriate measures to increase trade turnover between the two countries.

Madalena Fischer said that her country was interested in deepening cooperation with Azerbaijan.

Polad Bulbuloghlu informed the Portuguese ambassador of the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict, the brilliant victory of the Azerbaijani Army under the leadership of President, Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev.

Bulbuloghlu presented “A Chronicle of Victory” and “Karabakh before and after the occupation” books published by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation to Madalena Fischer.
