Baku hosts Azerbaijan-Turkey agricultural forum

Co-organized by Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Agriculture and Ministry of Economy, an Azerbaijan-Turkey agricultural forum has been held in Baku.

Participants in the event included heads of Azerbaijan’s government bodies, businessmen, and a 65-member Turkish delegation.

Addressing the forum, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Agriculture Inam Karimov noted that built on the basis of historical friendship and mutual trust, Azerbaijan-Turkey relations continue strengthening.

Turkish Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Bekir Pakdemirli hailed the importance of mutual cooperation between Azerbaijan and Turkey in agrarian sector.

Chairman of Azerbaijan’s Food Safety Agency Goshgar Tahmazli noted that the expansion of trade relations with Turkey and mutual collaboration in the implementation of state control over registration, certification, and regulation of entities aiming to facilitate import and export of agricultural and food products will be of great importance.

Acting President of Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO) Yusif Abdullayev made a presentation on Azerbaijan’s business and investment environment.

Other speakers hailed the successful development of Azerbaijan-Turkey relations, saying that the event will contribute to the strengthening of economic cooperation between the two countries.
