Body of Azerbaijani citizen, killed by Kazakhstan border guards, to be handed over today

Body of citizen of the Republic of Azerbaijan Gahraman Ibrahimov, who was killed as a result of the use of a gun by employees of the Coast Guard of Border Service of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Caspian Sea on April 30, 2020, has been sent by military ship of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Mangystau village on May 5 with the participation of Azerbaijan’s diplomatic representation in order to be handed over to the Azerbaijani side, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) told APA.

It has been noted that the corpse of our city will be delivered today to the military ship of the Border Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the common water area of the Caspian Sea.

“After being brought to the territory of Azerbaijan the corpse of the citizen will be delivered to his family. We would like to note that the condolences have been expressed in the note received from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, to the family of Azerbaijani citizen Gahraman Ibrahimov who died in the occurred incident, as well as it has been noted that Kazakhstan has thoroughly and objectively investigated the incident and the Azerbaijani side will be informed about the results,” the information of MFA reads.
