Caspian Energy Club organizes another Online Round Table

Caspian Energy Club

Chief of the Staff of the Food Safety Agency of Azerbaijan Elkhan Mikayilov has attended the traditional “Online Round Table” organized by the Caspian Energy Club.

Topical issues and suggestions were discussed on the sidelines of the forum, Chairman and CEO of the Caspian Energy Club Telman Aliyev told AZERTAC.

The event started with a minute of silence in memory of martyrs who fell in the struggle for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.

Then Elkhan Mikayilov said that he closely follows the activities of the Caspian Energy Club, and also noted the effectiveness of events which are organized by the Club to develop the business-to-government dialogue. He also stressed the importance of operation of such platforms and the significance of work they will carry out in this area.

“A new mechanism has been applied in this area with the establishment of the Azerbaijan Food Safety Agency. Just as the new food safety system is based on a mechanism of control carried out by the state, so one of its main tasks is to take a trilateral participation into account, that is to say, taking the role of the state, entrepreneurs and consumers into consideration. According to the modern concept of food security, an entrepreneur is a main supplier of this system, which is why it is important to involve entrepreneurs in this work”, he said.

Elkhan Mikayilov then listened to the proposals of the participants of the Online Round Table and answered their questions. Telman Aliyev, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Caspian Energy Club, thanked Elkhan Mikayilov for the open and sincere dialogue. He also noted the operational activities of the working group between the Food Safety Agency and the Caspian Energy Club, and expressed gratitude to the Agency’s management team on behalf of the member companies of the Club.

The operation of the bilateral working group makes it possible to hold regular discussions with the Agency on topical issues, proposals and problems, and find solutions promptly.

The Caspian Energy Club which brings together over 5,000 companies and organizations from 50 countries was established in June 2002. As an active participant of the business-to-government dialogue, the major objective of the Caspian Energy Club is to improve the investment and business climate in Azerbaijan and in other countries where the Caspian Energy Club operates, as well as to stimulate and actively participate in the B2G, B2B and B2C dialogues.

Caspian Energy Club is the international business-networking platform and regularly organizes various events. The head office of the Caspian Energy Club is in Baku. The Caspian Energy Club has official representative offices in Georgia and Kazakhstan, and authorized representatives in different countries around the world.
