“US consider the peaceful settlement of Nagorno-Karabakh conflict to be a high priority and we remain fully committed to the Minsk group process,” said George P. Kent, Deputy Assistant Secretary, Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs during his speech at the Atlantic Council.

He said that his country is committed to the Minsk process: “We believe that the resolution of this conflict is essential for achieving a secure and prosper future for both Azerbaijan and Armenia. My colleague Sheffer just was in the region with his fellow co-chairs to follow up the series of high-level meetings with the leaders and foreign ministers level. Our work to resolve this longstanding conflict will continue to be based on the principles of the non-use of the forces or threat of the forces, territorial integrity, equal rights and self-determination of the people.”
