In Georgia, mayor of region densely populated by Azerbaijanis resigns

In Georgia, Manuchar Merebashvili, mayor of Kaspi region densely populated by Azerbaijanis has resigned, APA’s local bureau reports.

The mayor shared relevant information on his social media account. He said in the upcoming days, he will take decision on the area where he will continue his activity. The mayor said he has received some job offers from private sector.

Note that M. Merebashvili has acted as mayor of Kaspi region since 2017.
