“Planting trees adorns the land and is an act of benevolence, which of course the land itself will benefit from. Green areas are beauty of life and it means fresh air,” People’s Artist of Azerbaijan Rasim Balayev has told AZERTAC.
“I was profoundly happy to hear about this fantastic initiative carrying Imadaddin Nasimi’s name and I sincerely applaud it,” said Balayev who once portrayed unforgettable and leading character in the Nasimi movie.
“By planting trees in all parts of Azerbaijan, our world will become greener and even more beautiful.”
The People’s Artist hailed the Azerbaijani First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva’s initative of planting 650,000 trees in the country in one day to mark the 650th birthday anniversary of the great Azerbaijani poet and thinker Imadaddin Nasimi.
