Saudi Arabia and Azerbaijan to set up working group on cooperation in tourism and cultural fields

Azerbaijani Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Shahin Abdullayev has met with Chairman of Tourism and Leisure Committee at the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI) Prince Abdullah bin Saud to discuss prospects of economic and commercial relations, as well as issues of cooperation between the two countries in the tourism sector.

The sides agreed to establish a working group under the Tourism and Leisure Committee at the JCCI to explore the potential of cooperation in the fields of tourism and culture.

Addressing the meeting, Ambassador Shahin Abdullayev highlighted the economic development and tourism potential of Azerbaijan. He emphasized that extensive restoration and construction works are currently being carried out in the liberated territories. The ambassador also invited the businessmen of Saudi Arabia to actively participate in this process.

The meeting focused on discussions regarding the further development of cooperation in the tourism sector, strengthening marketing and cultural relations between the two countries, as well as organizing the visit of Saudi Arabian businessmen to Azerbaijan.
