Speaker Sahiba Gafarova meets with Head of UK-Azerbaijan inter-parliamentary friendship group

Speaker of Azerbaijan’s Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova has met with a delegation led by Head of the UK-Azerbaijan inter-parliamentary friendship group Bob Blackman.

Speaker Sahiba Gafarova hailed the UK parliamentary delegation’s visit to Azerbaijan. She briefed the members of the delegation about the new situation emerged in the region following Azerbaijan’s liberation of its ancestral lands, as well as the country’s peace efforts. Sahiba Gafarova also touched upon the prospects of development of inter-parliamentary relations between Azerbaijan and UK, stressing the important role of inter-parliamentary friendship group in this regard.

MP Bob Blackman praised the meetings and discussions held during his visit to Azerbaijan. He also shared his impressions from the visit to Azerbaijan’s Aghdam district. The British MP also hailed the restoration and reconstruction process carried out in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan, sharing his views on the situation in the region.
