US State of Oklahoma governor signs proclamation on partnership with Azerbaijani Army

Governor of the US State of Oklahoma Kevin Stitt has signed a proclamation marking the 20th anniversary of the State Partnership Program between the Oklahoma National Guard and Azerbaijan Army.

The proclamation reads: “Whereas since the founding of the Republic of Azerbaijan on October 18, 1991, the country has been a tremendous ally to the United States and the State of Oklahoma; and

Whereas through a growing partnership, the State of Oklahoma and the Republic of Azerbaijan have continued to exchange knowledge and culture, progress the energy industry while prioritizing regional security; and

Whereas the State partnership Program allows for the opportunity of commercial partnerships strengthening each of the respective regions; and

Whereas the longevity of the partnership demonstrates the commitment of both parties to a safer and stronger future; and

Whereas the 19th September marks two decades of the State Partnership Program between the Azerbaijan Army and the Oklahoma National Guard;

Now, therefore, I, Governor J. Kevin Stitt, do hereby proclaim September 19, 2022 as the commemoration of the 20th Anniversary of the State Partnership Program between the Oklahoma National Guard and Azerbaijan Army in the State of Oklahoma”.
