At a time when humanity is facing a serious threat, in order to overcome the difficulties as soon as possible each of us must be aware of civic responsibility, be sensitive to himself and society, follow the rules of social isolation, and make use of this period effectively and creatively using available resources. Along with the protection of people’s physical health, spiritual enrichment also has great significance.
In this regard, the International Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation announces an international online drawing competition: “Let’s Protect Our World: Traditions of the Turkic World”, among schoolchildren aged 6-16, and invites everyone to actively participate in this competition.
The competition aims to support talented students with artistic imagination, stimulate artistic activity by creating additional opportunities for the promotion of their creativity, as well as to involve the younger generation in the protection and promotion of the cultural heritage, ancient traditions, national and spiritual values of Turkic peoples.
The artworks should reflect the national traditions and ceremonies of the Turkic-speaking peoples, as well as the features of the common culture of the Turkic World.
Drawings should be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org by 1st of May, 2020 with detailed information about children taking part in the competition (name, surname, date of birth, country of residence, city, address and contact number, as well as a brief description of the composition or tradition in their native language and English). The submitted artworks will be exhibited online on a special website to be created.
After the abolition of social isolation measures in connection with the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, paintings must be sent by mail to the International Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation (A. Bakikhanov 73A, Baku, Republic of Azerbaijan).
The winners will be awarded with special diplomas and prizes.
