Azerbaijani athletes shine at Special Olympics World Games

Team Azerbaijan have claimed a total of 24 medals, including 6 golds, 10 silvers and 8 bronzes at Special Olympics World Games in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

Azerbaijani athletes competed in athletics, powerlifting, judo, table tennis, badminton, football, handball, basketball, volleyball and swimming.

The next Special Olympics World Games will be held in Berlin in 2023.
