Azerbaijan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov has held a telephone conversation with his Georgian counterpart Ilia Darchiashvili over the disaster occurred as a result of flooding and landslide that hit Shovi resort in Georgia’s mountainous region of Racha.
The Azerbaijani FM expressed deep condolences to the families and relatives of those, who were killed in this terrible disaster, friendly government and people of Georgia as well wished the injured recovery. Minister Bayramov expressed hope that those presumed missing will be found as soon as possible.
He emphasized that Azerbaijan always stands by Georgia and is ready to provide any necessary assistance in rescue operations and elimination of the consequences of the natural disaster.
Minister Ilia Darchiashvili expressed his gratitude to the Azerbaijani counterpart for the solidarity and support.
