Missile attack on Ganja should be considered as Armenia`s disrespect for the international community

Ganja

Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan, Head of Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration Hikmat Hajiyev has said a missile attack on Ganja should be considered as Armenia`s disrespect for the international community. Hajiyev spoke with local and foreign jurnalists as, accompanied by Prosecutor General Kamran Aliyev and assistant to the First Vice-President Elchin Amirbayov, he visited the rubble of a residential building in Ganja, which was hit by missiles of the Armenian armed forces late at night on Sunday. At least nine civilians were killed and 33 others wounded in the attack which came just two days after Azerbaijan and Armenia agreed to a humanitarian truce mediated by Russia.

Hikmat Hajiyev said that in breach of the ceasfire, Armenia was shelling not only Ganja, but also Mingachevir and other residential areas. “This should be considered as Armenia`s disrespect for the international community, including the Russian Federation.” He said that while proposals on a humanitarian ceasefire through direct mediation of Russia were made, Armenia carried out this act of vandalism and genocide.
