Baku to establish training program with Pakistan to upskill professional ICT specialists

Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rashad Nabiyev met with Mohammad Nafis Zakaria, executive director of the Commission on Science and Technology for Sustainable Development in the South (COMSATS), as part of his visit to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Azernews reports, citing The Ministry.

According to the ministry’s press office, the meeting discussed the possibilities of long-term cooperation between the two countries in the field of communication and information technology.

The meeting discussed the implementation of a joint project with COMSATS to train professional ICT specialists in Azerbaijan. To this end, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Agency for Innovation and Digital Development under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport and COMSATS on cooperation in the field of ICT and technology training courses.

According to the MoU, Pakistani trainers will start training professional ICT experts in our country.

It was noted that this project will make a positive contribution to the development of competitive human capital and the formation of a modern innovation environment in Azerbaijan.
